PSTC is honored and proud to announce that we have finished final production of a very special video series that will educate us all. This two video set is titled The Voices of September 11th. The video explores the 9-1-1 and dispatch response to all of the events of September 11th.

This video has been specially produced as a training video for our trade. The segments are 15-20 minutes in length and can be played in sequence or as role-call training. The entire video set is 3 hours and 47 minutes in length. The video includes the personal stories of over 40  9-1-1 professionals that worked in agencies from New York to Pennsylvania. We had unbelievable access to agencies that worked events in all of the crash sites. The video will also include radio traffic that we can all learn lessons from.

You will be privy to stories that you have never heard. The feelings of our fellow dispatchers and the skills that they employed on September 11th and since that time are all explained. Hear from FDNY on-scene dispatchers, Port Authority dispatchers in the World Trade Centers, NY 9-1-1 and the Jersey City Fire Dispatchers. You will be in awe when you hear the events of the Pentagon and how agencies from Arlington County and Washington DC worked together for a rapid response. Track flight 93 and the 9-1-1 behind-the-scene heroes that spoke with frantic calls to 9-1-1.

This video honors our profession and teaches us so much about skills, stress management, team work, mutual aid, the dispatchers “sixth sense” and so much more.

Words will never express the importance of this video. Gary Allen of Dispatch Monthly said:

"Public Safety Training Consultants (PSTC) has previewed their upcoming 3-hour video of interviews with dispatchers who handled the Sept. 11th incidents--it was spell-binding, to say the least!  The dispatchers are articulate, detailed in their recollections, and you can still read the emotion in their faces.  I watched just 15 minutes, which is about all you can take in one bite."

Retired New York City 9-1-1 Sergeant Jim Butler recently wrote:

"Kevin:  I just came back from the memorial service and dug my computer out of it's box and set it up for the first time in months.  I retired last month and have been busy and just haven't had time or need to set the system up.  I just wanted to say thank you to you and everyone at PSTC and 911 Cares for all you have done for us.  I can't tell you what a difference you made in all of our lives and even today, cards, letters, and signs from 911 Cares are still in the lobby of NYPD's call center.  Last night, I watched part of the voices of September 11th video it brought back many bad memories..but pride in all that Dispatchers accomplished that day and continue to accomplish every day.  Even 2 years later, it is still difficult to hear the recounting of what happened that day.

Please accept my heartfelt thanks for all your kindness and continuing concern for the Dispatchers in New York and all over the country."

With my deepest respect and thanks

                      Jim Butler
